What do you recommend for products to start with?

This is a question I get asked by those that just want to know what products to start with or just tell me what I need to buy. They do not want to keep buying things that do not work and want to know what I trust to be the best and learn with them: "What do you recommend for products to start with?"

I have to reiterate that it's more important to know HOW to use what you have as you can use what I recommend but if you use them improperly you will not like them. When you know HOW to use them you will most likely love them and see results with the first time using them and it only gets better over time.

I have had clients show up in my studio, see the products I have on the shelf and say, "Those did not work for me." - hearing this I would then USE them on her for her teaching session AND THEY WORKED - she revealed to me during the session that she was using them wrong.

I am in an industry that has most clients hair return to the salon with their hair in worst condition over time - dried out, knotty - frazzled ends breaking off that thin out and get stringy and fly away that is very difficult to manage.

With proper care you can come back over time with hair in BETTER shape and the only reason you know you need to come back in is that your hair has gotten heavy and out of shape with some ends showing they need to be trimmed (ends of hair can be over 2 years old and naturally thin out but NOTHING like back in the day with breaking off).

Product #1 - Detox. Hard water is all over the world and it's like a film that builds up over time on top of your hair and you can start to look greasy or like you have build up.

Product #2 - You have two choices that cleanse your hair - one with lather and one that is a co-wash. (Use code CHA10 for discount on order) - I recommend my clients to co-wash 3 times in a row and then one lather session. Most curl friendly lathering shampoos over time can make your hair look dry - yes, they are safe but STILL can dry your hair out a bit. If you co-wash ALL the time you can get greasy looking - so the best thing is to not alternate them one to one, but co-wash more than you lather.
For example: if you cleanse twice a week, co-wash that week and one more time into next week THEN lather up on that second week for your other cleansing.
Try it out and see how it goes, this may work fine for you or you can co-wash even longer or less - make this routine your own.

Product #3 - Conditioner. I have seen and felt the difference with proper hydration from using a conditioner. This is THEE most important part of how to Cultivate Your Curls. If you use conditioner and your hair is STILL dry, frizzy or does not feel good - then you are not hydrating your hair properly. If you do The MAP Method then you know how significant a good conditioner is.

Products #4 - Filler. A Filler is a low to no hold product that fills in the porosity of your hair that is different than a Conditioner or a Gel. If you want good day 2-3-4 hair, you must hydrate properly and Fill properly. Again, Cultivate Your Curls is THE ONLY course and method that has this element of how to manage your hair and it is a game changer.

Products #5 Sealer. or this Sealer. If you want hold that lasts most of the day - or better day 2-3-4 hair then you follow this routine and when you learn to refresh your hair for multiple day hair care - you will see it all come together.

I have seen THOUSANDS of clients and online clients - around the globe - with their hair transform with Cultivate Your Curls & The MAP Method.

Finally - if you should get 1 product - get the best Conditioner you can afford, then a Filler, then a Cleanser/Co-Wash as for a Gel (Sealer) that can be the cheapest curl friendly product in your drugstore - but, HYDRATION is the FOUNDATION to having beautiful wavy/curly hair.

Thank you for trusting me with how to stop fixing your hair and to finally EMBRACE your God-given hair.

Having a good day 1 routine takes about 3 weeks to know how to tweak it and see what is working or what you need to refine. When you get the course you get access to me personally to guide you in the video course, in our Facebook community or even an email or you can comment in the course as well that I will reply to.

Knowing how to refresh your hair is the second part that is important in your journey to embrace your hair as when you have a great day 1 routine AND know how to refresh your hair - you are set for the rest of your life!

And that is a good feeling that contributes to dignity, self-esteem and your confidence.

I would love to guide you through that process as I already have with others in my studio or online globally.

For now,
