Curly Hair Artistry Education Updates

Good day everyone.

One of my goals with Curly Hair Artistry is to share experiences of food, adventure, people and culture AND the best training you can get to learn about wavy/curly hair...all in one!

When we have our training in Saco Maine I personally do all of those experiences before our training so that I get a sense of where I am at. Once I eat, travel, meet people and go on an adventure or two I am ready to lead the training with the staff at CurlBoutique (website).

In Maine I have to eat at least one lobster roll - warm lobster meat with butter on a long bun with chips and a Maine Blueberry soda:

Past adventures include visiting lighthouses along the coast - and the views are stunning - something I wonder if the people there just get used to? As it blows me away with each visit:

or this one:

The salon is in a late 1800's Victorian Home on the bottom floor and it is SO FUN to do a training here as stylists are in separate rooms that I get to give individual mentoring, guiding and teaching throughout the training session. Stylists work on real live models (no mannequin heads on tripods ever in our live trainings) and we use a variety of methods, techniques of cutting and product application that builds the stylists confidence to go back to their own community and achieve new levels of business that they did not have before.

Salon Curl Boutique in Saco Maine:

After the training we go out to dinner as a team and learn more about each other.

I used to love watching Anthony Bourdain's travel shows of food, culture and people and this is what motivated me to do the same with Curly Hair Artistry.
Credit also goes to my wife Janey that shared with me - in the early days of her work at a NC university - that had monthly events with different global communities that would gather to share food, stories, music and art....and I loved each of those events and the people that I met.

When you learn more about and experience food, people and their culture - it only makes you a better person.

To sign up for the next Maine training - click this link HERE and we will see you in Saco Maine on September 7 & 8, 2025.
I recommend coming early - do some adventures along the coast line, eat some good food, meet new people and see some stunning scenery that will impact your soul. From this you will be ready to have a training that will linger and impact your business for the rest of your life....as that is what many of the previous participants have said over the years.
Most participants are mentally and physically drained to enjoy adventures after the events we have - so again, I recommend coming early and enjoy Maine with a fresh attitude of exploration before the training event.
Again, the link to the training is HERE

Finally, I want to welcome all of the NEW Cultivate Your Curls participants that got the course during the month of June - WELCOME!
To help you get started I have made a blog of products to get you started with what to use so that you can reduce the overwhelm of what to buy - you can find that HERE.

While I have hundreds of photos of Maine - I chose to use stock images just so you know.
Also - I never use AI for my writing - as I believe in writing from my heart to your heart.

For now,

Had to share the shirt my sons Eric & Ryan (Twins) got me for Fathers Day:
